IPTV on Samsung Smart TV, using the built-in Tizen store

Samsung's Tizen platform doesn't allow sideloading apps, so setup goes through the Smart Hub app store or a MAC-address-based player — both are straightforward once you know the steps.

No sideloading required

Everything installs through Samsung's official Smart Hub, so there's no need for a USB drive or developer mode.

Consistent Smart Hub experience

Navigate with your existing Samsung remote — no additional remote or accessory needed.

Works across recent Tizen models

This setup applies to most Samsung Smart TVs released in the last several years running Tizen OS.

How to get set up

  1. 1

    Open Smart Hub

Press the Home button on your Samsung remote to open the Smart Hub app store.

  2. 2

    Search for a player app

Look for "Smart IPTV" or a similar compatible app in the store.

  3. 3

    Note your MAC address

Open the installed app — it will display a unique MAC address on screen.

  4. 4

    Share it with support

Send the MAC address to our team so we can activate your channel list on that app.

Samsung's Tizen operating system, unlike Android TV, doesn't support installing apps outside its official Smart Hub store — this is a platform limitation, not something specific to IPTV apps.
